Bandai 1/144 Star Wars AT-AT

Following seeing the new Star Wars film, I was inspired to build one of the excellent Bandai Star Wars kits. It was a choice between an AT-AT and the Millennium Falcon, but the AT-AT won
As ever with Bandai, the kit is excellently detailed and engineered and the fit is sublime! It is billed as a snap-together kit, and could indeed be built wholly without glue if desired although some of the joints may come apart easily without a little (carefully!) applied glue.
I painted it overall in Humbrol Steel Grey acrylic, with Gunmetal accents and detail, and then used a variety of Flory washes to add some streaking and general grime. It still needs a matt varnish but it's too cold and damp to go out to the garage and spray it at present

Wow, that looks great, Iggie. Bandai certainly make some excellent looking kits of these Star Wars types.

A fine model, Iggie. I'm sure the studios will wish to use it when filming the next episode; it looks good enough for that job. Nicely photographed.

Thanks James, Shaun & 59'
It's a really enjoyable kit to build and remarkably straightforward. With some basic weathering it really looks the part very easily!
