The Scottish Airforce

From Apollo and Soyuz, to Gerry Anderson, Irwin Allen, Star Wars and Trek to Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and those strange, doe-eyed Japanese school girls...to any model kits you can think of, that only exists in imagination.

Royal Stewart tartan was the national tartan but it was banned a few hundred years ago, some Jacobite lads upset our neighbours down south :) Dress Stuart is a yellow based tartan. Obviouslt these days both are freely available. Also the lion rampant (red lion on a yellow background with 2 red stripes around the border was banned but it was allowed with 1 stripe, as before both are freely available now. Bet your sorry you asked lol. I'm pretty sure I'm right on this but I'm always happy to be corrected, I love the idea of the roundal with the thistle in the middle, and before anyone asks, no I'm not Nicola Sturgeon. Great thread I've enjoyed this.
