Picked this up at Modelzone for under a tenner.
Should make a nice weekend build.
Revell 1/65 Tie Fighter
Re: Revell 1/65 Tie Fighter
TIE fighters are so much cooler than X-Wings.
I'm a mostly full-time modeller put a part-time poster....

While Tie fighters looks so much cooler then X-Wings, remember:
Tie Fighters can be destroyed by barely looking at them.

I'd be tempted to paint it.

Not sure if I will paint it, I've glued all the joints and don't want to faff with masking. I have flown it around the room a few times though.

Keep it as it is. But maybe give it some minor touchups. The in box paintwork looks good as it is.

Re: Revell 1/65 Tie Fighter
Yeah the colour looks pretty spot on,not that far off what I ended up with on my Tie Advanced. Not much point weathering as one whiff of a blaster would turn it into a ball of scrap.
Re: Revell 1/65 Tie Fighter
No they're not!! , TIE's:- no hyperdrive, no shields and no ejection system. Plus as has been said they can be blown up with a glance. More mencing perhaps!!.Ian wrote:TIE fighters are so much cooler than X-Wings.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!
