Very interesting, especially as Jonny red was going to attack Tromsø.. But is this a US or UK comic? I see that the price is 14p. Can’t recall ever reading this comic.
But anyway Jonny Red would envy some of the weapons that Santa’s spits has…..

I believe it was originally a British comic but I read it here as a kid so I guess it made it on both sides. The comic was called "Battle Comics." It was a lot of different stories in each issue but I believe the Johnny Red story ran the longest

I remember Battle but not Battle Comics. I do like the look of Johnny Red's Hurricat. There is the Hurricane group build next year!

Masking ,unmasking, masking and at last unmasking.
First time looks OK, then I masked the Scottish insignias, I was using an old roll of tape, even though a weaken the bond of the tape, it took of some of the red paint of…. Well I have better try to repair it, Santa can’t give a way a battle worn aircraft on Christmas Eve, and the date is coming fast.
And the nest step, after repairing the paint job is to mount some guns!

As the battle grew nearer, both sides wanted a rest, Scotland under her new Queen was digging inn for the last stand and Hitler was deploying his troops otherwise.. ………..
Hitler knew that as Britten had collapsed that maybe Stalin would accept a truce , the convoys had stopped, so he was not receiving any more supplies. Stalin excepted the truce, Adolf would keep most of eastern Europe, ands Stalin would keep central Russia.
What was even worse, since Britten had been defeated (except Scotland), most of the resistance in the occupied countries had been reduced to a minimum. In Norway the result was that the heavy water plant in Rukan had again begun to manufacture Heavy water……Adolf’s Christmas wish was a A bomb by nest Christmas….
In South America , several countries where considering joining the Axis , Mexico was attacked and conceder by the “ SAF” (South American Federation ) , the USA was in a real treat …………
In Norway, Santa was not so sure that he should give away weapons that could hurt anybody. But the elf Wilfred , had a talk with Santa……………………..

Funnily enough I read in one of my aviation mags about proposals for a Scottish Air Force should they gain independence. It involved 12-16 Typhoons, helicopters and so on. Quite small but dedicated to Scottish requirements. Actually a real proposal now!!!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

CCR: Christmas carol amplifier…
Anybody remember want happen on Christmas Eve in WW 1, suddenly all forces left there guns and joined hands in the middle of No mans Land… it was the work of Santa with is CCR 1, the new version is even better, when one of these spitfires fly over a battlefield and us the CCA all enemy troops will suddenly field a urge to sing Christmas carols.
