Brickie's Japanese Sabre
Re: Brickie's Japanese Sabre
I did that!
...With my first one.
I managed to remove the intake and stuffed it.

Jeez we've all been there! pose it as a "just landing with airbrakes extended" dio Hope you can fix it without too much hassle.

No pilot included, otherwise I'd have been doing it wheels-up on a flying stand in the first place...pose it as a "just landing with airbrakes extended" dio Hope you can fix it without too much hassle.
I've had a go at jemmying the nose intake off, but it's stuck very firmly. My best option is to glue it to a baseboard, I think.

I haven't forgotten about this, by the way, I've just been busy with my PZL - however I'm nearly there and just need to decal and finish it...

And here she is.
I'm quite happy with the result, though I don't think I'll be converting to 1/144 any time soon.

End result looks good Brickie - wheels firmly glued to the base I presume, given the earlier issues
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Great stuff. Looks the part.
Aside from the panel lines, did you enjoy it and will you be doing more?

Bruce

Re: Brickie's Japanese Sabre
Hmm. I did find it a bit fiddly, and the undercarriage snapped off a number of times. I do have another 1/144 kit that I acquired the other day, an F-19 Ghostrider.
I don't think it'll become my "main" scale, but I'll be open to doing it again. The kits are cheap and small to display at least.
