Re: Migrant's Bitty Butcher Bird
Oh Mike, that third squiggle two back from the cowl is a right hook in the ref photo, not a left curl..
Brilliant brush skill, do you permanently model with an opti-visor on?
Cheers

Re: Migrant's Bitty Butcher Bird
Thanks guys.
Finally finished, quite a fun build although there's a surprising amount of work in a 1/144 scale kit (even without choosing a squiggle scheme).

Re: Migrant's Bitty Butcher Bird
As usual you excellent photography belies the true size of the model. I'm more inclined to believe that is a giant pot of paint.

Wowser!
From this I can only conclude that Mike's favourite tipple is a bit more classy than Bargain Booze Kestrel lager. We're talking of at least single malts here.
Clever photoshopping with the paint pot, by the way.
Reagrds,
Bruce

Re: Migrant's Bitty Butcher Bird
Thanks for the comments
I might be tempted by another 1/144 kit, the only one in my stash at the moment is a Revell TF-104G. The Eduard MiG-21 looks quite nice and they're selling it in a box-of-two.
(I know you're only joking Bruce, but in case anyone doesn't... that really is how small a 1/144 Fw190 is)MerlinJones wrote: Clever photoshopping with the paint pot, by the way.

Smooth work Mike, that squiggle is very impressive. So you can get back to the coffee now?
Cheers

Both choices are quite state of the art, although I think you'll enjoy the engineering of the Eduard MiG-21 and one won't be enough.Migrant wrote:I might be tempted by another 1/144 kit, the only one in my stash at the moment is a Revell TF-104G. Re: Migrant's Bitty Butcher Bird
Wow that is mightily impressive. I tried a squiggle pattern on a Ki61 last year and it was rubbish. You've inspired me to dig it out and have another go.
All the best
