Splash's Dutch Apache Display a/c ***Finished***

Post by splash »

I picked this up today for the GB.

Depending on how the build goes I might try to paint it in the colours of the Dutch display a/c I saw last year at Yeovilton airday.

I think with the small scale I might be able to get away with it.

The photos above I took at the Yeovilton airshow, the Apache was a total show stopper at one stage he went in to a high hover and then just did a full 360 degree back flip.

The best was a loop followed by firing his flares when fully inverted as per the photo.

First impressions are good this looks like a crisp little kit with nice detail, I think I'm going to enjoy this build.

This is a gem of a kit well detailed even down to decals for the ip.

The only problem I have found is the carpet monster loves the taste of the plastic Revell have used, nearly every part I have cut out it has atempted to steal.

My only criticism is the colour of plastic Revell have use, I'm not a lover of very dark plastic, but that is only a minor criticism.

Looks good, I think the advantage of dark coloured plastic is it saves you from having to paint an undercoat to show up the panel lines.
