That nose cone looks a larger diameter than the fuselage. Hope you can get those lovely flowing contours to blend.

Re: Panda Models B-1B Test Program
Thanks Guys.
Both the front and rear cones are indeed slightly larger in diameter than that of the fuselage James and took a little carefull sanding to correct but it was easy enough to do and I think that the test will be when I spray the whole of the airframe with some primer.
The windscreen has been masked and glued into position, filled and sanded.
The join seam around the sides have been sanded and some of the panel lines have been scribed back in.
The tail has been glued into place but needed a lot of filler and liquid putty to lose the large gap that was there, so Tamiya tape was used either side of the filled gap and different grades of sanding sticks were used to smooth as much as possible with the least amount of damage to the surrounding area.
I will go over the filled gaps with some wetted micromesh and then turn my attention to the engine nacelles which themselves will need some sanding to lose the join from the two halves of the pod.
Regards
Mark

Re: Panda Models B-1B Test Program
Thanks Jim, there is a little more cleaning up than I first imagined with this kit which is slowing progress down a bit so things are getting a tad tight with the finish date only being three days away.
Have got the rear horizontal stabilizers attached and using hot glue negated the use of filler which it would have needed if I didn't.
Put in and trimmed for a much better fit the internals to the engine intakes and in the process of finishing the sanding.
Once everything is cleaned up on the engine pods I will scribe in the missing lines.
Having tested the COG with the wings swept back it is obvious that the thing is going to be a tail sitter with the wheels down so lucky for me then the front hatch is still open and I will pour in some flattened air rifle pellets to restore the balance.

Good and steady progress, Mark.
As you're doing a white one, I'll have to find my own answers for the grey.

Bruce

Re: Panda Models B-1B Test Program
Well I am not going to finish this one on time as I still need to do a bit more work on it before I can get a coat of klear on it for the decals.
I will still plod through this until it's completed although I have to admit that this has kind of bit me on the bum a bit as I thought that it would be a simple build but I am afraid that there was just too much sanding and filling to do on this kit but too little time to do it in.
In my defence though I have been BBQing and taking part in some general socializing a tad. ( Just to relieve the stress you understand)
Here is where I am with it at the moment.
Hopefully this will be the final smoothing with micromesh and if all is well then I will get the U/c attached so that I can get a coat of klear onto it.
