Re: Britfix's other slotcars
The Healey says Playcraft but I think it's a re-pop of the Aurora car (or maybe visa-versa?) The MGA looks excellent, really the old Lindberg kit! Did you do a lot of work on it (bar the slot car conv)? I've yet to get may hands on one of these.

Re: Britfix's other slotcars
I don't know anything about model cars or slot cars, but gee that's a terrific collection you have built, they look great.

Re: Britfix's other slotcars
Hi James,
The Healey's definitely labelled Playcraft, though I also thought it was an Aurora or Revell at first - it is in a turquoise plastic like Aurora, and with identical wheels / tyres. However, it's not the same model of Healey - it's the short cockpit two-seater only 100/4 or 100/6, not your usual 3000.
Here's the full build log and a lot more pix for the Healey - http://s6.photobucket.com/user/britfix/ ... n%20healey
And you're right - the Lindberg MGA did require a HECK of a lot of work to bring it up from their 'simplified toy' standard !
Again, full build log and a lot more pix for the MGA - http://s6.photobucket.com/user/britfix/ ... mga%201600
Cheers

Re: Britfix's other slotcars
It's quite possible that Aurora got the mark wrong on their kit, though from what I've read I did think it's was a 3000 Mk1 (there were two seater versions). My Aurora build is here http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2790;britfix wrote:Hi James,

Re: Britfix's other slotcars
OK, so I decided to make a Fordson van version of my ford Pop, converting a saloon shell and using that as a master for the van to make resin copies.
So here's three versions of the new van, plus also a 'club racing' Pop / Anglia....
Cheers

Triumph TR3A Alpine Rally 1958
I've based this on the Lindberg 1/32 kit, with some Aurora details, and otherwise scratch building. Chassis is an MRRC Cobra one, with an MRRC steering unit added, and Cartrix wheels / tyres.
One of the original cars......
There's a load more pics and a full build log at http://s6.photobucket.com/user/britfix/ ... mph%20TR3A
Cheers!
