Yak Yak Yak! James' Early Russian Jets

Post by JamesPerrin »

This little group started completely unplanned when I bought the PM/Pioneer Yak-15 as something quick and easy to do during my modelling dark ages when there was a lot of A but little B. Though the kit is appalling I was quite taken with early Russian jet which simple slung the jet engine underneath and dropped the fuselage around it. A couple of years ago I added the Amodel Yak-17 which was built for the Early Jets Group and then I picked up at Telford the new Yak-23 from Special Hobby which I've built over Christmas. I've also got Amodel's little ugly MiG-9 which goes a step further and has two engine in its belly, when I build it I will have to change the name of this thread.
