Thanks for the suggestions.
I could do Big Sticks assuming the big nuclear weapons delivery systems include large bombers.
By the time Bolton gets here Il hopefully have a Vulcan and TU-16 Badger ready.
When put with Shane's Victor and Gregg's TU-22 Blinder it should look awesome with the art you may have to bring to the table(meaning your work is amazing)

I am pretty sure that a large bomber (i.e. B-52, Vulcan, Badger, Bear etc.) would qualify as a Big Stick.

As would SSBN submarines (Ohio, Typhoon, Vanguard Class) and nuclear missiles such as Titan II and SS-25 Topol (providing it is done as the early model not the current one).

If you look very hard in the background you may be able to spot a WIP I have that might count as a big stick :ha: . Let me know if you think so and I'll get it finished for Huddersfield (I probably won't make Bolton).

The SR-71 is the Testors 1/48 kit. A bit basic but better than a poke in the eye with a big stick (ha - did you see what I did there  :ha:).
I'll be finishing her as an SR71-A, wheels down without crew (coz it didn't come with none!). Because the cockpit will be closed I didn't go overboard with the detailing on the instrument panels as you can see. All parts initially got sprayed with Halfords Gloss Black rattle can, then after decals had Xtracolor Matt Varnish brushed on. Having see the one at Duxford in the museum I think the tail looks just about spot on- the black is so matt on the real things it is almost grey looking.

Image

Did I mention I have two 1/72 B-52s on the go as well - essentially the same kit but one was in a Monogram box and the other came later in the Revell boxing - one will be wheels down and the other one wheels up in-flight mounted on a pole of some sort - if you're interested I could add that to the Huddersfield list?!.

OK, my SR-71 is having a strop and says he will only come to Huddersfield if he can bring a friend (that I will also have to finish in time!)...

Image

It's the Revell 1/48 Convair B-58 Hustler in what I believe is a fictitious Viet-nam decal scheme provided in the kit. The faithful old 1/72 Airfix Toom is shown here to give an indication of the size -how big is the table gonna be?!!
