2015 Show Project.

Post by IronMan129 »

Hey all!
I am currently in the middle of organising a project between me and a friend and we plan on vacforming/3D Printing/scratch building a 1/72 scale Shorts Sperring RA.2 which us the 4th and backup V-Bomber should the other 3 have been a failure.
All progress on the builds will be posted here, my Workbench window and Aviation Modelling as I know not everyone reads all 3.
If this works and we are successful there maybe other options for the future.
Here as a taster is a pic of the Sperrin next to the Valiant.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT MY PHOTOGRAPH.

This model will be on show at all shows through the 2015 season as I want to show people the various stages a model like this will go through.

Ok so the project has been confirmed!
The process will be to Vacform the fuselarge, tail and wings.
Then the model will be shipped over to me to start the building process.
I will then order the 3D printed items which will be all(if any) antenna, landing gear, landing gear doors, engines and a few other things.
Once the bird gets here pics will be posted.

I am planning on having a few posters on the table to show the process.
If anyone has any ideas please feel free to post in this thread or pm me.

Sounds like an interesting idea. I have never heard of this type so will keep my eye on this project.
Good luck.
