Shaun's Cold War Targets

Post by ShaunW »

Here are my first builds aimed specifically for this SIG. To balance things out a little with the aircraft builds I thought I'd finish up some vehicles. All of these models were initially built in the late 80's but were never finished and hung around on the Shelf of Shame until shortly after Telford last year when I began a refurb programme. All three models are by Tamiya and are in 1/35th scale. Build details are in the AFV section and on my Workbench Window.

M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank

This has been finished in temporary winter cam and with temporary exercise markings:

Ford M151A2 MUTT and trailer

Finished in overall Olive Green and with a World War II Willys Jeep trailer converted to the later pattern:

M2 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle

Finished in a typical mid-80's four colour scheme, this is the most OOB of the trio:

If there's room on the table and the Boss wants them, I'm willing to bring them along the forthcoming Huddersfield show.

Thanks for looking.

I'm no armour fan normally, but those are quite superb Shaun. I love to see them in the flesh for sure!

Thanks guys, you are very kind.

Thanks and I'll bring them along with pleasure Adam. If there's room in the carrying box, I'll chuck in a Hasegawa Marine Corps F-4J and/or an Airfix USAF F-4E for good measure in case you need any more airyplanes. See you Sunday.
