On the bright side bromo, if it comes to the worst and you need a/m decals, Falklands war sets do seem to be coming out of the woodwork at the moment.

Hi Pugz and welcome aboard the Falklands task force. The Revell Victor is a good choice. I'll look forward to comparing notes with the Matchbox one.Pugz636 wrote:it seems like everyone is gonna multi build for this group build....I am going to have to check my stash and see what i have apart from my revell victor.....but either way with whatever i find im in.....
As for building more than one model, I'm not actually commiting to a multi-build but, like I said, if the Victor goes well or things go badly awry then I have a kit or three to fall back on.
In your favour you do have decals that weren't printed by Noah so you have a fighting chance that they won't disintegrate or dissolve on you. Also, I've just forked out for an a/m decal sheet for the Gnat SKGB so that will take up some of my time too.

Very true Darryl, the thing i like about the new Airfix is the decals are very good and include all the stencils for the airframe and the weapons, im going to wait till the 30th before making a final desicion if i order from the Airfix website delivery is fairly quick so it should not delay things too much.Dazzled wrote:On the bright side bromo, if it comes to the worst and you need a/m decals, Falklands war sets do seem to be coming out of the woodwork at the moment.

Re: Sign-Up & Chat
Count me in , I have a Vulcan and Pucara stashed , however I need to get onto Airfix as the canopy is broken on the Pucara.
Re: Sign-Up & Chat
I hope I'll be able to join in before the deadline expires! My plan is to build the AFV Club Scorpion into one of the 4 that made it onto dry land from the Blues and Royals. I've got a collection of photos of the Scorpions and Scimitars, but none of these show any markings (which may have been removed however), so if anyone has any other photos, I'd be very interested in seeing them!
Sounds like I'm the only one so far planning to build something that doesn't fly!

Welcome aboard Boldman. Nice to see some subject variation as that was one of the original objectives of this GB. Looking forward to seeing the scorpion in styrene

I'll be in with a Special Hobby Pucara.
Given the length of the build, I might also do my PJ Productions Mirage V, provided I can find suitable decals.
Regards,
Bruce

Hi bromo and Dazzled. Well, with this in the stash it would be rude not to join in wouldn't it?!
(Sorry, camera shake from the excitement )
The Pucara is missing from the big box as it is in another seperate Airfix Pucara box, so I may do one wheels up and the other wheels down (with the canopy smashed and the seats ejected!!).
The decals sheet looks impressive. I'll see if I can churn all seven (6+1 extra Pucara) out in the time allowed - nothing too taxing to be found here I don't think.
So that's my Bank Holiday Monday next week spoken for then...
Who knows, with any time left to spare I may bash out my 1/24 Sea Harrier as well.
cheers
Al.
