Sorry for the lack of participation recently, but I have been on a trip to visit the battlefields of the Somme, and also celebrating The Queens Diamond Jubilee.

Today I have managed to get the green on:

and I have fitted the canopy. I hope to get a coat of klear on tonight ready for the decals. I should get this finished by the deadline.

Nice, that wrap around scheme is one I do like.

The Somme battlefields would have been interesting and thought provoking..

Rain stopped work today, so I managed to use the time constructively :-D :

Just needs a coat of matt varnish to tone down the klear a little, then on with the undercarriage and bombs and it is finished.

Hi Chip...what colours did you use?
(...And please don't say grey and green).

My preferred medium are Revell Aqua Color Acrylics, in this instance 36157 Grey, and 36168 Dark Green. The flash has altered the true colours, so I will get some daylight pics done once she has had a coat of matt varnish.

Quite an enjoyable build with no major problems, apart from those self induced. (as usual)

There are more detailed versions on the market, but this one turned out to be a nice little model.

Thanks for all the encouragement throughout the GB.

Nice work, well done I love the Union Flag backdrop.

Can you spray the Revell Aqua Colours or are they hairy stick only?

They spray fine once thinned with water. I usually do the primer and base coats through the airbrush, then do the camo and details with the hairy stick.

Lovely work Chip. A Falklands classic reborn. Did you take the pictures in daylight afterwards? Just wondering as it was so windy yesterday that I'd have though outdoor piccy taking of plastic models would have been a hazardous experience.

You may well have got an unintentional "airborne" pose.

I am lucky that my Hobby room is south facing, so it gets loads of natural light on the workbench, (even on the occasional day when it isn't sunny :ha: )
