Such an elegant aircraft that I was compelled to pull my Comet 4 from the Stash.

First coat of H166 is on,what a pain to mask though, Cosford air show this afternoon not far from our house, free fly past by the Red Arrows

I was hoping the grey would cover in one coat, but looks like another coat tomorrow night, this is going to be tight.

With a bit of luck, another coat will do the trick Bromo and then on to the finish. Lucky you with the free flypast!

No problems whatsoever Bromo. My internet connection was painfully slow yesterday for whatever reason, it's normally very good and I double clicked on the submit button, thinking I'd not done it right in the first place, hence I ended up with a duplicate post. I've done this before and have managed to delete the additional post but for some reason that didn't work last night. I'm certainly glad I didn't have to start at 4.00am this morning, in fact I'm about to start now!

Ouch! what time do you finish?
Well second coat of grey has gone on and covered very well,
Image
Other bits done include the undercart, what a pain sixteen wheel halves for the main gear+ the two nose wheels i was going cross eyed by the time i finished painting the tyres,
Image
De-mask tomorrow night slap some clear on and i can start decaling and touching up as well, something is bound to have bled somewhere.

I finished at 9.15 tonight, had 30 mins for lunch and about 45 mins off for tea (sounds like a game of cricket), I had quite a big and urgent job to get out of the way. I do work mostly at home though, which has its compensations. Talking of big and urgent jobs, the old Nimrod is looking good now and I'm looking forward to seeing those Sidewinders on there!

Long hours are certainly not good for modelling, if I finish work anything much after eight of an evening, I can't be bothered to then start concentrating on sticking bits of plastic together or painting!. Look on the bright side, your day off on Thursday
