Hasegawa Panther G, One of the nicest looking tanks IMHO.
and the wheels getting dirtied whilst they're easier to get to...

Re: An odd bird
The Eagle-eyed will have spotted that this is not a Panther....it is part of the same project though.
I had put on the wheels before noticing that all the road wheels on one side were on backwards!
Even more annoying was that I had deliberately made the wheels uneven as if starting to go up an incline. Going to have to rethink the layout of the base to accommodate the replaced wheel positions!

That's rather annoying. Nice work so far though. Like the wheels on the Panther.Purplethistle wrote:The Eagle-eyed will have spotted that this is not a Panther....it is part of the same project though.

Enjoyment over accuracy. That's my motto

Re: An odd bird
The photograph that is my reference for the Churchill I'm doing shows the tank absolutely covered in welded-on track segments, both Churchill and Sherman. As there is a section of the Churchills track that is not visible, I cut that off to add to the hull. As my LMS closed down recently, it's no longer possible to just pop out and buy some track links, so a donor was required.
Fortunately a compatible donor was found....a Matchbox Firefly from the loft
After opening the Firefly up on the table, the donor sample was taken from an area under her skirt that would not be visible.
Both donor and recipient are closed up now and doing well .......unlike the camera batteries that croaked before I could get another photo
