Italeri 1/35 Schwerer Wehrmachtsclepper(SWS) Halftrack

Post by Titan »

The SWS was an easy build, tracks though were a pain to construct and I was very relieved when I managed to get them on without breaking them. The kit has a demolition team and Goliath included but to be honest the figures are best replace with better sculptured ones so I've only included the Goliath operator in a couple of photos .

Another very nice build Mark. I like the oily stains on the front wheels, or is it camo paint :???:

Another fine softskin, Mark, very nicely built, weathered and photographed. In my experience with individual link tracks, the problem areas are usually where the upper and lower runs meet the tracks wrapped around the drive and idler wheels and in engaging the tracks with the drive wheel teeth and I think I can make out those issues here. Not that I'm saying your tracks here look crap or anything - you've managed to make them work but sometimes individual link jobbies can be an utter pain to fit and worse in some ways than the rubber band affairs that they purport to be superior to.

Another awesome build!

i strongly suspect that you are actually buying old full size vehicles, getting them dirty and photographing them in front of a huge printed sheet.....
Best wishes

Oh dear looks like I will have to find another free image hosting site, one that doesn't keep changing it's T and C's as often...
The problem is it's going to take a while to repost all the images as I have so many of them and I dunno if I have the inclination to bulk repost, but for now on this site I will use the handy add image to post feature whilst I am looking.

Another stunner, Mark. Can't believe your work rate. Your ability to produce kits of this calibre just astound me.

Very nice Mark. Were the tracks link-and-length or individual links?
