I really like that GMG, it's great to see one of these and the additional Hobby Master stowage has perked it up nicely. This is a classic old kit of which I built a couple way back when and they remain the only models of this famous US half-track that I've ever built. Certainly I should build another for old time's sake or scale up to one of the classic old 1/35th offerings from Tamiya.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Nicely done. I especially like the stowage and the extra .30 cal you added to stop people swiping stuff out of the trailer.

Ha ha James! That's exactly why I put that there. It was a spare from the Armourfast Achilles I did a few years ago, on a very suspect looking pintle mounting I white glued to it. I would like to get another and do it as either an Israeli machine or one captured by the Afrika Korps and put to use as an 88mm gun tractor. I might in fact eventually do that to this M3. I have a 1:35th scale M21 mortar carrier halftrack from Tamiya that built up quite nicely as well, though that's been in storage for yonks.

Nicely done. Dan Taylor Modelworks released a selection of etch sets to upgrade and refine this kit a great deal. I admit to having bought them, and also to not having found the time yet to do much with them - ie use them (so they are by now well established in the stash).
I am also grateful for once for my stupidity/stash building in having bought the base Airfix kits already, as now it might prove harder to source them, as Airfix discontinued the kit.

very nice model, i dont do military models as i dont think i would be able to do them justice, i like looking at good models that is out of my comfort zone and this one looks good, are you going to put it in a scenic setting or leave as is ?

I should like to have it and many others in a diorama of some kind but space is an issue. I occasionally find some background to put them in and may do that in the future.

Very nice work.
Re: White M3A1 with one ton trailer, Airfix 1:72
Of course it's the Airfix 1/76 kit and it's a very nice OOB build - just as the Airfix designers intended in the middle of last century
Like chrism, I have several sets of the Dan Taylor Drive and Idler Wheels as well as a couple of M9A1 conversion sets. I have started modifying a couple of half-tracks to accept the drive and idler wheels and, fortunately, I have quite a few Airfix and Fujimi "M3" half-tracks in my stash.
I'll be happy if mine look as good as this one.
Cheers
David
