BTR-70

Post by Canuck2016 »

Good day all!

This is Zvezda's 1:35 BTR-70. This was painted with Krylon "Hosta Leaf" from a spray can, and weathered with artists' oils and pigments. A very enjoyable, straightforward build, with good fit throughout!

That looks very realistic. Great job on the weathering.

That looks great Canuck, very nicely painted and weathered (I'm very much in the less is more camp when it comes to weathering).

Looks superb Canuck, those wheels look completely convincing. Any chance of some more pics of the finished model?

Don't seem to matter what angle you photograph it from; it still looks real.
Excellent modelling, it's a beauty.

Thanks, 59 North, and greetings from a fellow Canadian!

This is the only Zvezda kit I've ever built, and I found it to be very nice indeed. The way you see it is pretty much out-of-the-box, except for the windows and a couple of the mounting handles, which were replaced with wire.

Cheers!
