Tamiya 1/35 Panzer II

Post by Springy67 »

Hey All

This is the 1/35 Tamiya Panzer II. As with most of their armour kits, it went together with no real issues. I added a couple of jerry cans and drilled out the gun barrels and the exhaust.

I was going to paint and include the commander but I have mislaid his arm  Once I find it, I will finish him off and add him in (the turret hatch has been left loose).

Just noticed I need to put some black into the end of the turret machine gun.

Hope you like it.

Cheers

Great work. It's a nice little kit.

Nice one Springy. I think these early war panzers make great subjects but for whatever reason they tend to be less popular among modellers than the later war heavyweights such as the Tiger I/II and Panther. Top job 8-)

In fact so nice (and bearing in mind Shaun's valid comments above), I have just ordered one from JAdlamracing for the princely sum of £9.17 incl postage.... :-D

I'll tell Mrs iggie that it's your fault :ha:
Best wishes

Bravo. Really like the tracks. Very real looking.

That really looks excellent. As others have noted, the tracks are especially realistic.

Thanks everyone for all your kind comments. I see the quality of the builds on this site (including by you guys) so it is always pleasing to get nice feedback on my own efforts.

Hey Iggie
I'll tell Mrs iggie that it's your fault :ha:
If you want to deal with your addiction to acquiring plastic model kits, the first thing you need to do is admit that you have a problem. Shifting the blame onto others is not the answer. :-D

I often tell Mrs Dazzled that it's iggie's fault for my buying kits. It's usually true too :ha:

Lovely work on the Panzer BTW 8-)
