Airfix 1/76 Cromwell tank

Post by splash »

I built this as part of the Blitz GB built straight OOB using the paints supplied with the starter kit (4 small pots of Green, brown, black & silver). I had to thin the green down using a large amount of thinners to get it to run through my airbrush, but once thinned it sprayed OK and adhered to the bare plastic quit well and only needed four thin coats to fully cover.

The post shading was just a mixture of the green and black, and the base is borrowed from the Matchbox T-34 kit (re-issued by Revell)

The kit has lovely small fine detail and the part fit is second to none and I can full recommended it if you want a quick and easy build

I think you've done a great job of this Alan. A Blitz doesn't always result in one's finest work but this looks great* and certainly has the appearance of a build that has taken far longer 8-)

*This time I won't mention the fact that you've borrowed a Matchbox T-34 base from another build. Everyone else might not notice you know :ha:
