Trumpeter 1/72 SAM-6 Anti-Aircraft Missile

Post by Falcon »

A bit of a quick build on a newly released kit.

Parts count is only 37, so won't take long at all.

There are 7 sub assemblies dry-fitted to see how it looks.

The 7 sub assemblies separated again and now ready for painting.

Now this is something a bit different and it goes to show that a nicely detailed kit doesn't have to have a zillion parts. Great work so far Chris.

That looks like a very nice kit, I had the pleasure of taking a very close look at a captured SAM 6 launcher in the first Gulf War unfortunately it was minus its missiles, I recall the compartments on its side were spare parts storage, the spare electronic circuit boards I looked at were very basic and retro looking, they looked more 60's than 90's with no sign of any chips.

I must keep an eye out for one of these kits, thanks for sharing your build.

Looks good! Didn't know they did this in small-scale.

Very nice looking kit Chris. I'm part way through the older 35th scale version. It has a few more parts ;-)

Very nice, would make a great addition to my Braille Scale SAM gear. Haven't seen this one in the shops yet.
