Italeri 1/35 LAV-25 Mortar Carrier.

Post by Titan »

The only thing I will say about this kit is that there are no locating holes for some of the hand rails and lights which meant that every time I touched the model bits would fall off it, so after sticking them back on for the umpteenth time any that fell off whilst taking the photos just didn't get stuck back on.
I managed also to get a bit of silvering on the decals and noticed too a few ejector pin marks that I had not removed from the hatches. I won't be fixing any of these things though as I don't want to waste any more glue on it...... :ha:

Very nice Mark. I built this kit many years ago and it's safe to say that your result is far nicer than mine ever was :) I like the simple base too.

Thanks Mike and iggie, this is the fifth model to have used this base but I think it's time to retire it and move onto something else.....maybe.

Sounds like a fair bit of hassle during the process Mark but what a result! very nice indeed. One day I will get round to making a couple of generic bases for photography purposes for both aircraft and military vehicles. It's a good idea if you ask me, which most people probably won't :ha:

Very dusty! Needs some figures though to go with the nice base.

Thanks all for the kind comments on this build.
I am trying to diversify more into different aspects of model making James, I am not a great figure painter but I will try to address the lack of them in my next build..... ;-) amongst other things...
