Meng 1/35 Russian Light AA Guns
A set of 4 guns which I reviewed for AMPS.
The First Look Review is here. It describes the kit and discusses/illustrates some problems, particularly with the newest tool, the ZPU-4. There is a link in the FLR to the Full Build Review, where I attempt to correct some of those. As the review is proprietary to AMPS, I cannot repeat much of it here.

Look good.
I always wanted to build a Unimog with a ZPU-4 in the bed. Unfortunately the only Unimog with the correct cab is a resin kit so will keep on waiting.

Re: Meng 1/35 Russian Light AA Guns
Meng produce an excellent looking classic "Technical" in the form of a Toyota pick up with a ZPU-1 in the back, those vehicles have featured many times in news reports from trouble spots such as the Middle East and Africa. I haven't seen the Unimog "version" but I doubt that either Mercedes-Benz or Toyota ever envisaged that their products would be put to such use, well perhaps Mercedes with the Unimog which did see military service - but Toyota I think aimed more at the local builder/tradesman, certainly the Toyota Hi-Lux 4x4 pick up is very popular with builders around here!

Re: Meng 1/35 Russian Light AA Guns
Meng actually has 2 technicals:
-- VS-001 '97 Toyota p/u with ZPU-1 as Shaun mentioned above
-- VS-004 '90 Toyota Land Cruiser p/u with ZU-23-2 which is one pickup bed full of weapon !
I'm sure either of these would do for a ZPU-2 and if you google ZPU-4 images you'll find some pick-up size mounts also.
The purpose of this 4-weapon kit was to give the modeler a supply of guns to do just such a thing.
