Morning Chaps
Yes I've finally managed to finish it...
Finished with Tamiya XF 59 Desert Yellow overall and the Airfix PE set was used, which I must say I was quite impressed with.
Its a lovely kit, little or no flash, no fit issues, although some of the parts are a bit on the thick side, but the PE takes care of them.
I tried out humbrol weathering powders for the first time, the sand one... not too bad, but i don't like the colour and will mix a bit of a darker shade in for future use.
Its a bit disapointing that it doesn't come with 'stuff' to hang all over it... some ammo boxes and packs would have been nice. I actually bought the quad bikes set to steal the backpacks from them, but then found out they were all molded onto the figures
I know there's add on sets available, but cost and postage to Africa's bottom is a nightmare.
Anyhoo, thanks for looking and all comments are welcome

That looks great Steve, excellent work. I agree that the lack of any storage items to hang off the model is a pain as one is left with a look more straight off the factory floor rather than an in-country appearance. Having to purchase additional sets is an added expense that I for one could do without!

Excellent work!
And don't tell me about postage to SA; I had to send some legal documents to Cape Town yesterday, tracked recorded delivery was £72 for three sheets of A4 paper

Yeah, its getting such that sending stuff here is like sending to outer mongolia, and I'm sure that's still cheaper
Thanks for the kind comments chaps

Very nice Steve, it is a shame that there is nothing in the box to put in it when the kit is finished so when I got mine I bought some figures to flesh it out a bit, dunno when I will get around to building it though.
Regards
Mark

Beautifully done. The weathering is just right.
