Tamiya 1/35 Willy's Jeep
The Jeep itself is a great kit to construct and as with most Tamiya kits just fell together. The figure though well.....whilst having a fairly decently detailed head the same could not be said for the body as the detail there was very soft.

Great work as always Mark, that really looks the part - the Thompson in the side holster looks straight out of the Wild West, being very reminiscent of those Winchester rifle saddle holsters that always featured in westerns! Seriously, the Jeep is an absolute icon and no collection of military vehicle models can be said to be complete without an example of one - IMHO of course

Another inspiring build Mark, and brilliantly displayed as well
Best wishes

This is a nice kit, and you have made a nice job on it too.
Trying to Build kits and not Buy kits

Bravo
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

Excellent. Love the dust in the tyre treads.

That looks really good - the finish is just right, it looks weathered but not too much.

Re: Tamiya 1/35 Willy's Jeep
Thanks guys' for the feedback.
I've been watching too many WWII films of late and add to that doing a stash purge as well so I took out all the jeeps and decided to make them all in one hit. I've only got two more left but so far I have enjoyed the builds and as these are really quick to construct I am hoping to have those last two built soon, plus it gets my build count up as well....

Brilliant work on this iconic vehicle. I also like the helmet straps you added to the driver. Very realistic.
