Tamiya 1/35 M-1 Abrams
Tamiya 1/35 M-1 Abrams
Another one off my wish list.
The original M-1 Abrams with 105mm main gun. Finished in MERDC camo, Winter Verdant (US/Europe).
I didn't go overboard with the weathering. This tank never seen combat and served within the continental US.
It got a coat of heavily thinned desert yellow, A dark pin wash and various pigments.

Now that I like!
Great work with the camouflage and just enough weathering to make it look used. Top job!

Excellent. Very nice

Great job on that. Especially the subtle weathering/dirtying on the rear.

A fantastic build Paddy. It's great to see an early M-1, most models I've seen of late tend to be of later versions and invariably feature desert camo whereas your model features a superbly rendered MERDC scheme, coupled with a great weathering job which has resulted in a top class model. IMHO you are one of the best modellers on here and it's always a pleasure to see your work.

I have to totally agree with what Shaun has said.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

I don't often get excited about the slabby modern tanks but I'll make an exception in this case. Just the right balance of weathering and wear on a tidy paint job.
