Tamiya 1/35 Challenger 1 with Dozer Blade
Tamiya 1/35 Challenger 1 with Dozer Blade
The old Tamiya Chally 1 with the Accurate Armour dozer blade added. Apart from the dozer blade, the tank was pretty much built OOB with the exception of the amber beacon, for which I used a 3mm orange LED. Painted with Tamiya acylics.
Regards, Paddy.

Excellent work, what did you use to get that brillient mud effect?
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Mainly Mig weathering powders and pastels.splash wrote:what did you use to get that brillient mud effect?

Alas, yes and that's a great shame as it is a great looking build. Hang your head in shame PBjssel wrote:PB scores again.

Cool! I really like the raw steel effect on the blade. Very nice touch.
You did a real nice job with the thermal wrapping on the barrel too. Any tips?

Re: Tamiya 1/35 Challenger 1 with Dozer Blade
Thanks, guys.
The thermal sleeve was simply painted as per the instructions and given a dark oil wash to pick out the details and folds.

Re: Tamiya 1/35 Challenger 1 with Dozer Blade
I really like that, Paddy. Lots of subtle shading on the overall colour, and of course the weathering on the tank and dozer blade look great.
