Italeri 1/35 DEMAG Sd.kfz.10

Post by Titan »

I liked building this kit as there were no dramas to contend with and the tracks were trouble free in their construction which is always a plus.

Terrific build. Excellent finish

These wonderful softskin builds keep coming, Mark. This is another excellent piece of work, great painting, weathering and photography. I have the old Italeri SdKfz 10 in the stash and, like my Tamiya Quad, I'll let this build of yours sink gracefully out of sight before I dare make mine so as to avoid any direct comparison - other members might think I've done a reasonable job then :ha: :ha:
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Thanks all...your too kind.
Shaun, I am sure when you build your Italeri SDkfz 10 it will be every bit if not better than my effort and if it's any consolation I don't think I have many more softskins to build( unless I make a trip into the stash again...unlikely as I still have some tanks to start soon) :ha: :ha: So I will look forward to seeing your build.

To be honest Nigel I didn't know myself when I was building this kit but curiosity got the better of me and I have now found out that it was used to hold a barbed wire coil, apparently it was easier to deploy the wire this way.

Titan, out of interest what is the circular 'thing' on the rear of the vehicle for?

Titan has an amazing ability to construct WW2 German Army vehicles and weather them, and might be interested in this film in COLOUR on YouTube showing German Army surrendering to the US Army in May 1945, for a bit of inspiration.

Interestingly some vehicles shown are still in Panzer grey or both grey and the later 'sand yellow'
