Marky's Centurion
Marky's Centurion
Hi, I don't often frequent this bit of the forum, but occasionally I like to build 1/35th tanks. I found this one for under £30 (if that's a good price), at the IPMS Brampton show this year. See what you think (I usually do a clean finish even though dirt and rust seem prevalent).
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Very nice build indeed Marky of a classic British tank; love it!
Best wishes

Re: Marky's Centurion
Great build of what for me is the most tanky looking tank. Which manufacturer?

Re: Marky's Centurion
Very nice! Always liked the look of the Centurion, and you did a great job on it. I think the clean look is very sharp, and also appropriate for what was mostly a Cold Warrior!
Re: Marky's Centurion
I had a motorised one of these Tamiya Centurions in 1970's. If I let it loose in the garden it would do a very wide circuit of the lawn, rather than go in a straight line, more by luck than design.
Re: Marky's Centurion
I think this one had space for batteries, as evidenced by the frame inside the lower hull. No motorised bits though....LarryH57 wrote:I had a motorised one of these Tamiya Centurions in 1970's. Re: Marky's Centurion
Quite a few of the original Tamiyas were originally motorised, did actually cause a few accuracy issues as they had to make the hull deep enough to fit the components.
