Having been inspired by planecrezyman61s post on armour I decided to give a few a bash, these were all painted with a hairy stick and drybrushed with acrylic paint.

It's been a while since I've seen any of your armour builds, Celt and that is a nice little collection - there's some good dry brushing there! I've been meaning to get my hands on that Cromwell kit for a while and I must do so before too long as I've heard great things about it. I built the Tamiya 1/35th Cromwell a few years ago and it would be nice to have its smaller brother in my collection. The other new tool that I also fancy buying is the Tiger II - was that a good one to build?

Hi Shaunw, thanks, the Cromwell is IMHO,the best armour kit Airfix has done. The Tiger is good but the wheels are fiddly and the driving sprockets are prone to break when you put the track on.Drybrushing is the only weathering I do. :-D

Excellent work Celt.

Airfix did some nice AFV kits, I agree about the Cromwell it’s a sweet kit. What colour do you use for the dry brushing?

Regards Splash
