Very interesting, KP and I'd say that definitely falls into the category of "other military models" It's good to see something different.

I know what you mean about the Disc World. But I am rather more surprised that you can still get Brut!
I wish, that I knew what was doing!

Hi all here is the next update. They supply laser cut wood bits for the bow or steel for as they call it expert builders. I've tack glued one of the laser cut bits to the steel as a template for cutting. Here is where I need help the supplied metal is so hard a file won't even scratch it, what I have so far was done with a sanding belt. What would you suggest I drill the holes with I have high speed drill bits but I'm not sure they would drill through this stuff.

A very interesting project! I look forward to watching this. HSS should work on mild steel. If it is stainless, you might need something harder, like Cobalt or even Hi-Molybdenum steel bits.

If this doesn't shoot anything I'm going to be disappointed.

I love the contrasting wood colours.

That is indeed a brutal looking piece of medieval artillery, KP. Great build so far.
