Matchbox PK-81 Panzerkampfwagen II Ausf.G 1/76 scale
Matchbox PK-81 Panzerkampfwagen II Ausf.G '375', 10th Pz.Div. 14th Pz. Korps, Russia summer 1941.
First built during 1978, damaged during the 1980's and stored 'till 19Mar2017 when I commenced a rebuild thread here; https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/airfixt ... ml#p767055; finishing it 11Jun2017.
The original Nth.African ruin depicted by the kit's dio base was modified to more represent a ruined Russian dwelling, the DAK soldiers were altered to better represent the troops in Barbarossa.
Tried a lot of techniques I had learnt about with varying degrees of success, didn't come out the way I had envisioned but finished it is,

Excellent work, especially on the base.
I wish, that I knew what was doing!

LOve it and the base. What is the backdrop that you've used in the latter images?

Very nice little build, and very nicely set in the diorama
Best wishes

That sure is nice.

Thank you for the great comments gents I'm glad you like my first attempt using modern techniques as it was a very steep learning curve littered with mistakes
@ JamesPerrin, it's the same background in every photo, just two poster sized boards of a suitable colour I purchased at an art supply store, one placed vertically on the other as a neutral backdrop.

That is a great resto of this Matchbox classic, Faaman and it is really set off by the well finished base and figures. Those bases helped raise MB armour above their Airfix rivals IMHO and MB kits remain my preferred choice for classic kit small scale military vehicle builds.

Very cool little tank and diorama. Always dug the Matcbox dio sets, and have more than a few myself.

It must be good lighting that gives you that vertical tonal variationFAAMAN wrote:@ JamesPerrin, it's the same background in every photo, just two poster sized boards of a suitable colour I purchased at an art supply store, one placed vertically on the other as a neutral backdrop.

Dual daylight fluro tubes on the battern overhead with two desk lamps also with daylight fluro bulbs is all for 'fill in' lighting.

Ace build, FAAMAN. The figure painting is excellent.
