Revell 1/72 T-90

Post by PGAS »

Hello all,

Here is my first successful go at a tank model. So many wheels! My usual subject is aircraft but this one was a lot of fun so I plan to dabble in this area a few more times. It is the Revell T-90 in 1/72 scale and is built pretty much out of the box except for an RB model metal barrel. Very nice little kit.

I know! It's on an airport ramp. I will work on some kind of turf for it next.

Cheers,
Paul

Really well done for a first tank. The paint scheme looks difficult, so you have certainly proven yourself there. Well don all around!

Wow. One can really appreciate the work when you see it in your palm.

Brilliant work, i have one in my stash and would be extremely pleased if it came out anything like yours. At first I thought it was 1/35 until I saw the shot of it in your hand.

Oh wow, Paul, that is an excellent looking small scale AFV that could easily be taken for 1/35th. IMHO military vehicles make great subjects and have shared equal interest with aircraft for me for most of my modelling life. Hopefully we will see you build more!

I too would have been totally accepting had you have posted that as being 1/35th scale; that is an awesome build!
Best wishes

Totally agree with all the above, Paul. It's amazing that it's in 1:72 scale! You've done an awesome job on the camouflage pattern and the optics, especially on such a small subject with such complex shapes. The un-ditching beam looks just like real wood, too. Great-looking model!

And, if I may be allowed . . .

That is intricate, lovely. If you´re looking for more wheels go for a later panzer of some sort with triple layered interlocking roadwheels. He says rocking slowly backwards and forwards.

Thanks guys. It really is a fine kit. Lots of detail and easy to put together. I do intend to build more armor, and I actually have a King Tiger on the shelf. It was a tossup which one I was going to build first. I think the King Tiger is one of those triple layer interlocking roadwheel tanks? I was also looking at the 1/48 Tamiya series armor. Except for the larger tanks, WWII tanks in 1/72 are too small for me to build. Fingers are getting clumsy as time goes by! Not sure how you guys do it.

Love the Rick and Morty! And thanks for the optics tip Fred.
