Airfix 1/76 British 105mm Light Field Gun.

Post by Woodstock »

105mm gun finished in Lifecolor Desert storm sand.

I think it looks a bit glossy, I used Xtracrylix flat varnish. It probably needed a bit more of a stir.

You get two guns in the box, I still have the other one to build.
I thought I could have the other one slung under a Chinook...

Thanks for looking.

Cheers.

Why not have the gun and one tunny underslung. If I had a penny for every Rapier and one tunny I rigged for heli lifting, I'd have 78p

Nice build.

Nice one fibs.
I just need to invest in a Chinook now...
I've put another coat of matt varnish on and it looks alot better now (picture to follow).

You have done a great job on the 105mm you could have it slung under a Royal Naval Seaking mk4 we used to fly the 105’s around.

I do like you subtle weathering it looks spot on.

I used to walk past the prototype every day on the way to my office. it was mounted on a concrete slab. Then one day the new Chief Executive decided 'Those are history - we need to look to the future' and one day, all that was left was a forlorn concrete slab.
We also lost the prototype 25 pounder that day
