Milicast 1/76 Cromwell IV 'C' Hull

Post by ntrocket88 »

I brought several of these before Airfix announced that they were releasing one. At least this can serve as a comparison for the excellent Airfix one completed by madmike! The end result is OK, but it does require a lot of filling, filing and sanding. And I always miss some...

Another example of great armour modelling Neil. I've a feeling that Milicast are more expensive than Airfix and the latter's kit does seem to be rather nice from what I've seen.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!

I agree. The Airfix one looks at least as good and is a lot less expensive. I was kicking myself when I found out Airfix was going to release one! Ah well... Many thanks for the kind comment. Much appreciated.

Damn, that a fine build. I did not add stowage to mine and I am starting to regret that omission.

I do have a few Milicast subjects to build one day.

Many thanks for the kind comment Mike. I was pleased with the way the stowage turned out, though I kept it to a minimum so as to still see the excellent detail. The Milicast kits give good results, but I find they take longer to build and more effort than regular kits. Mind you, filing, filling and sanding are not my favorite modeling activities!
