Airfix 1/76 Scorpion/ Scimitar tank

Post by Woodstock »

Airfix 1/76 Scimitar.
I'd like to say its a nice kit!. Lets just say it was OK.
I thought the turret detail was pretty good.

The tracks were a absolute nightmare to fit.. bottum line is they are to short and the plastic lug and hole thingy are non-exsistent.
I tried stretching but one snapped, so I ended up just super gluing them on. You can just see the front of the track on the left side is coming away.

If you like that, you'll love the AFV Club 1/35 version

I'm very tempted by the AFV Club Simitar....but I already have alot of 1/35 armour in the stash which needs building. And I've been working on a Tamiya 1/35 Grant for the last 5 months, and its only a out the of box build. I'm struggling with the painting of the suspension, figure and tools.
