JB Models Saladin Armoured Car

Post by gengriz »

Another fast "away from home in a hotel room build"

This is the original JB issue of this kit, however it is currently available from Airfix. I used my normal Revell & Humbrol enamels, plus a watery Citadel acrylic muddy wash to finish.

Not much that needs to be said - as with all the JB kits it is a little simplified, but is great fun to build and looks the part when complete.

I added some camo netting (crumpled ally foil) and other stowage contents, , replaced a couple of antenna with monofilament thread. The commander is an old Airfix Commando, with his wolly cap-comforter changed to a beret.

Lovely looking model, was the kit that got me into this brilliant hobby :)

Great build.
The camo nets are a good idea.
The only way I got to keep them Tigers busy is to LET THEM SHOOT HOLES IN ME!

You made that in a hotel room!!!!! I can't build something that good at a fully equipped work bench. Well done. Looks good, especially considering the scale.
