I am concerned you have a whole day scheduled for grocery shopping at one store...
I also have a job which takes up my day.

Speaking of which - tonight I hope to actually make a start, while catching up with Mondays Game of Thrones and yesterday's Castle. That is, unless the migraine clouds on the horizon don't mature into a real one.

Brickie, I was only pulling your leg. I hope the migraine clouds stay at bay, not fun at all.

Cheers

Well, I did make a start, got the cockpit mostly painted but didn't make much more progress - I've also got a Hungarian Mig-15 I'm trying to get finally finished.

Anyway, I'm now off for the week, so play nicely y'all.

Whilst the kit provides two crew, there's no mention of them whatsoever in the instructions.

Is it me?!?

But what if I only want one? Which seat does he sit in?
...And what colours should I use?
Etc., etc..

If it's any consolation, the old tool instructions refer to a Part 41, for the exhaust. This part does not exist.

This GB is starting to open up a big can of worms that all the other reviews missed.

It's what usually happens when you build the kit, rather than just study the box art and contents.

Partly, yes.
They are featured in step 29 of my instruction sheet .... colors and all ...
But not who is who ....

It seems to want you to sit them in the seats as the very last thing you do before adding the canopy, but I think from dry-fitting that they're really going to want to go in before you zip up the fuselage. I suspect they may also be subject to amputation below the knee to get them to fit...

I have really enjoyed taking part in this GB, I think James summery of the kit in his thread is spot on, it’s not a perfect kit, but is well worth the price Airfix sell it for and I will probably build some more as they take up little space and are very colourful.

If I get a chance to pick up an old Matchbox version I will and if I see any of the old Airfix Gnat’s going cheap, I will probably pick them up as well, this GB might have pushed me over the edge from a hobby to an obsession.

Agreed that this was a great and fun GB, with the added bonus of adding to the collective knowledge re the New Tool Airfix Gnat. Anyone wanting to build one of these kits could do a lot worse than to consult with the builds herein.
Same kit, same issues and different takes on those issues and a variety of solutions.

All in all, good stuff and a good example of the SKGB.
