A Gnatty Little Gnumber...
OOB with the kit scheme, though I am aiming to do something a little different by finding some alternative serials in my decals bank. No point in showing the boxart or sprue shots, as those have already been covered.
May or may not do this in-flight; I haven't made that decision as yet.

Re: A Gnatty Little Gnumber...
My old Airfix kit is the very first version with the same scheme as is offered now in the new kit - I might just have to dig it out and rob the decals from there!
Anyways, seeing Merlin's thread had me searching my photos of the splitter plate:
Quite complex, really, as Bruce says. I decided I didn't want to go that route and came up with a different solution. First, sand down the thickness of the splitter on the fuselage side:
Next, lightly sand down the raised area on the fuselage, just by the intake:
When the intake is slotted into place, this is what it looks like:
Not 100% accurate, and lacks the little spacer bar thingies, but looks pretty good for the scale, and its quite simple to do.

Er...you came up with exactly the same route as myself, Paul.
Your next step will be to insert some sprue, strip or rod, into the gap, to make those 3 bar-thingies.
I was going to illustrate this, but I'm not allowed to play with mine until tomorrow.
Regards,
Bruce

Well, regardless, I've started, so I'll finish.....and I'm working tomorrow! It's alright for you retired folks to start on a Monday, but doens't do us working folk any good!
Hi Bruce - similar, but you cut away a lot more plastic than I did!

Re: A Gnatty Little Gnumber...
Quick update on the undercarriage that I haven't really started until tomorrow.
Airfix would have you glue the legs into the bays really early in the process even before closing up the fuselage. This is asking for trouble when the legs are quite as fragile as they are.
I didn't really glue one of the undercarriage bay to the fuselage, and it appears that you can easily slide in the legs later in assembly - after the fuselage is assembled, but I would suggest before the under fuselage plate (part 6A) is glued in place, as it would be quite fiddly to get it in after. Oooh, errr, missus.

The spacers can be represented by thin triangles of card. Only the tips show at the splitters edges. I did this on the MB Gnat:

Maybe this will work better if we change the rules such that people can only work outside the GB date range ....
