yeah and colour rivets underneath which i have spectacularly ignored, and when compared to the original yellowjacks ( which incidentally didnt appear to have the stain underneath, where unclear as to markings on the underside, by looking at the photos of G-MOUR, we are able to see what a jet looks like and how the colour responds to weathering in different quadrants when subjected to oli and fuel deposits

Given half a chance i would try to tidy up the nav light bits on the wings, but im sticking a fork in this one and calling it done....

Overall i have really enjoyed this kit, a few problems with fit which i would try differently just to see if i could counter the fit issues early on but the kit has improved slightly over the old one. I didnt have any problems with fit with the wings, just patience sat there holding them in position to get them where i wanted them, i would build another.....wondering how difficult it would be to convert one to an ajeet and do it in finnish markings for example...

Final picks in the gallery

Thanks for looking

Having built one and learned from the experience, my second was much, much easier.
Plus, they aren't that expensive and they don't take up much display space.

It'll be interesting to see if the aftermarket picks up the offered gauntlet and we get more decals and conversion sets.

Bruce

that would be really cool, an airfix 1:48 gnat would be nice too.... its amazing how small this jet actually is, fits in one panel of my wing of the victor lol..

Well done for getting it built so quickly. Reattaching those spine aerials at the correct angle will greatly improve the look of the finished model. If they are proving tricky just leave them off.

Nice finish Pugz apart from those aerials,as pointed out by James, which look as though you might have accidentally caught them during handling of the model.
