Well I think I've got the sanding done now. Had to fill a couple of sink marks on the wings and tidy up the joins around the nacelles. I put some white paint over to check joins and have had to redo some areas but they look fine now. The pointed rears of the nacelles took quite a bit of work to make them the right shape but I got there!

It's looking the part now, nice bit of work on the corrections. I'm looking forward to seeing this with some paint on.

Got some paint on today. Since this picture was taken I have added the canopy, this needed a bit of filler to make it fit properly which will mean repainting that it but never mind.

Going to leave it a day or two before masking the demarcation for the black

Lovely paint job Andrew. Do you use an airbrush or an hairy stick for your work?

Thanks Molly. I use a hairy stick. I cover the whole area with the lighter colour and then 'draw' the darker colour on top freehand using the instructions as a guide. It doesn't match exactly but I'm fine with it :-)

Hated using the green though. The blue grey is revell and went on really nicely but the dark green which is also revell wasn't much good at all. It seemed to be drying on the brush before I had a chance to do anything with it!

Looks good from here Andrew, in fact judging from that picture I'd have guessed it was airbrushed.

Yep, much better than my brushwork! That's looking good. :)

Maybe you need some drying retarder in the green? Try glycerine from the chemists' instead of the fancy stuff from the art shop.

cheers

Got the decals on now and have made a start with the finishing touches such as the gear doors, bomb doors etc.

Nice one, It is really coming together now.

I notice the props are still off, will you glue them in position at the end? I know from experience that if you just push them in they do not tend to sit correctly. You may get lucky though.
