Re: Andrew's Mosquito build
Thanks for the comments.
Yeah I was going to glue the props on at the end. Mainly because I couldn't find the locating pin parts when building! I must have looked at each sprue a thousand times and still can't find them!
Hoping that just gluing them in place I will get them to sit square with no gap to speak of

Re: Andrew's Mosquito build
That looks fantastic Andrew the decals really set the paintwork off, i may just have to get one of these looks a lot of model for the money,or i could just pull my finger out and do some to the 1/24th one hiding under the bench

Re: Andrew's Mosquito build
It really is quite a lot of model for the money. I paid £19 I think from raf musuem at hendon which won't be the cheapest place to get one!
Little bit of progress to report. Got one set of gear doors on and drying, hatch on, bomb door supports on. I'm away with work for a few days now so probably will finish this just in time for the end of the gb!

Looking very good Andrew and I agree, at £19.00, the kit is great value for money, even better if it can be sourced cheaper! I wonder what Hasegawa would charge? £50.00?

Re: Andrew's Mosquito build
Thats great value when you compare it to what Tamiya charge for there's and Haseripoffgawa would be asking at least 60 quid.

Re: Andrew's Mosquito build
My LHS has them on at $32, as opposed to the Tamiya ones at $40. With tax and the exchange rate, that would come out at about 19 quid.ShaunW wrote:Looking very good Andrew and I agree, at £19.00, the kit is great value for money, even better if it can be sourced cheaper! No sign of any Hasehighpricetagawa in the shops here anymore (apart from a few stray Egg planes!).
cheers

Re: Andrew's Mosquito build
Well, I may add the ladder and put this into a diorama but for all intents and purposes I have finished just in time! Although I knocked one of the gear doors off just before the pics. I will take some proper pictures later for the completed gallery

Well finished Andrew, that looks excellent. As we've said earlier, a great kit and good value.
