Fangs for the collective good.***Finished***
Re: Fangs for the collective good.
Thanks, Dirk. This morning I rubbed down the green stuff and applied the white stuff on the gun bay hatch. Also on the trailing edge of the wing where it meets the fuselage.
Happy with it so far.

Re: Fangs for the collective good.
Final seam prep done tonight. I use Tamiya's Surface primer as it is what my LMS gets. It dries fast so in a little while I will finish the seam work.
The prop is a dry fit for the time being so I could cut down the cannon muzzle. Also the door is dry fit to check for.....what was I checking? Well, it fits well.
Batteries are charged now and it feels good to be producing stuff on the ol' bench again.

You may have noticed that the nose gear was not attached before the fuselage halves were put together. It was planned to get a little better alignment and stance.

That looks rather good Jeff, the info gleaned from you here is all good fodder for when I get around to building mine.

Got some paint on the beastie recently.
Polly Scale OD and NG. Couple of areas cropped up around the cockpit that should get a little more rubbing down.
Now a chance at a little controversy. Some enterprising crew chief blotted out the US Army with Russian undersurface blue. Well, it could happen. Shaw, and maybe.................

Bottom of the ninth, two out and full count on the batter.
The little beastie is done. I have always liked the look of the P39 and maybe with a better engine it would have performed better. But is always amazed be how Finland and the Russians took aircraft that US pilots poo-poo'd and made something out of them. The Finns called it "Sisu".
