15 July, to be exact 1915 hours, EDT, 15 July.
In sport one records wins and losses and there isn't a separate column for just how clean or ugly the victory might be, and so, in that light, I present my completed entry.
Tomorrow, sometime, I will put a dull coat on and maybe take a better set of pictures.
Good GB. I picked a dog and after having found my historically significant subject, wish I had a better kit to honor it with. I also wish I had more info on the appearance of the aircraft -- as I said earlier, I suspect a minor hodge-podge of overpaints had occured and that might have been fascinating.
Again, good GB - thanks Brews !

Well done, John. Nice scheme.

I reposted 'glamour shots' in the completed thread, however that almost lead to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory ....
I brushed on my Model Master Acrylic Flat and noticed immediately it started to lump up into a cloudy mess around a couple decals - but not all of them. Fortunately I could wipe it off with a small brush before it dried and no harm appeared done. I came back a couple hours later and there was no problem but I had formed dark areas along the edge of the 'B' roundels. I put on a 2nd coat and everything seems fine now. I don't understand, as I've not seen that behavior before.
Anyway, it looks lots better with the dull coat on to smooth things out, so I'm OK with it all.

Nicely finished and saved, by the sounds of the clear coat problem.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.
