Re: Blitzbau XI - Rules, Sign-up, and Chat
I'll commit at least a couple of Platz P-47's for Saturday. I've a couple of Platz razorbacks and a couple of Platz bubbletops.

Bruce

Re: Blitzbau XI - Rules, Sign-up, and Chat
It's a nice little kit and should be blitzable. The last one I built had a slightly sloppy fit to the wing fuselage join but superglue followed by mekpak or simillar will sort that out quickly enough. It was fine on the other couple of these I have built however so it may have been an isolated fault. Looking forward to the build Simon.theconfidencestoat wrote:I'm looking at a Matchbox Hellcat.....

Well, We've matched the 24 and there's time to spare. Looks like this will be a record breaking blitz folks. Well done to all who have completed and/or attempted blitz's and lets up the bar some more and make this the most successful blitz ever.
All the best.

With my 109 and Bruce's P-47s on the go at the moment and lancfan and OT due to start in the next few days we should end up with over 30 completions. That will take some beating.

I'm still planning on building my Storch. I still have 6 days.
I'm a mostly full-time modeller put a part-time poster....
Re: Blitzbau XI - Rules, Sign-up, and Chat
To think back at the start there was the rough start and now we are on track to have a record beating blitz, how things can change and well done to everyone who has managed to complete a model/s in the blitz

It was the mention of a record that made me think about doing more.

It should be interesting getting us all on the award platform for a group hug ....
It's too late to inquire about the Guinness records, but maybe we could get Greg to spring for a Guinness for all of us ...

Dunno about the Guinness, vile stuff imho.
I do know however my better half has dared me to do another multiple blitz build. Off to raid the stash BRB.
All the best.

I 'm not an expert on FAA colours, the matchbox instructions would have me paint the undersides of the FAA Hellcat in silver ? Surely not correct, I would presume, DSG/Slate Grey on top and sky undersides ?
Advice please ?
