I 'm not an expert on FAA colours, the matchbox instructions would have me paint the undersides of the FAA Hellcat in silver ? Surely not correct, I would presume, DSG/Slate Grey on top and sky undersides ?
Advice please ?

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.
The littlest Little Ian (also known as Harry) wants to have a go. He mentioned it to me yesterday and I said I'd get him sorted out in the morning. Some may remember he started a Tamiya T Rex last year. I suggested that he painted it this year - after all, it is still sitting in the conservatory undercoated - but he said he prefers making to painting. Then I remembered that he bought himself an Airfix F-117 a while ago and while he has started it (seat assembled and in the tub) there's not so much that he can't get away with it. So I suggested that to him. We have some black spray so he can build the whole thing, spray it all black, paint the undercarriage and add decals. Simples!
I just need to show him how to upload photos and then put them in here.
What could possibly go wrong?

So I guess the last 3 Blitz's are going to be the good (Flaks Spitfire), the bad (Brews' -109) and the ugly (The Littlest Ians' F-117 - which is due for kick off around midday)

We need to wait until the finished models are all in the gallery for the final count, Though a check through the threads will be needed because not everyone has put their build in there I think.
Great effort folks and a very well done to you all. Sarah challenged me to do one more blitz last night but with only 2 hrs 10 mins ti go I wouldn't have had enough time. With a bit more I could have gone in the loft and dug out something. pity really.
All the best.

I haven't really had the chance to catch up after being on holiday, but it looks like this went mental with the number of builds. Absolutely great and I'm looking forward to the next Blitz session already!
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

What an amazing month August was. I cannot believe we've had so many participants building so many different kits. The standard of builds has been the usual mix of good, very good and excellent and I for one cannot tell that any of these models have been built in under 24 hours. They look as good as peoples usual standards.
Well done us!

Well. A rough count makes 44 completed builds during the Blitzbau. A very well done to all who participated and thanks to those who looked in and offered encouragement, advice etc.
This has been the most successful blitzbau yet and surpassed the previous amount of builds by a big margin. The standard has been it's usual high level and it was good to see a couple of younger participants so a special mention Kate and Harry, Well done and I hope to see you both building on here again.
Cheers and all the best.

44 completed builds is marvellous. Congratulations to you all!
I will be stronger in the next blitz. Then I have more experience, gotten the auto flow back to prevent "beginner" mistakes and will most likely build much quicker.
