Looking forward to watching this one David. I forgot my timekeeper for my blitz. I'll have to make up for that in a future blitz.

All the best.

30 minutes into the build and detail painting is coming along nicely, I am only using acrylics so drying times will be quite fast and should not slow things down.

The Azure blue has been applied to the underside and while that dries I am going to make a cup of coffee.

A second coat of Azure has been applied after this has dried I can mask the model and apply the Middle Stone.

The model is now masked and the Middle Stone has been applied. Time for another coffee- correction, time for a nap.
I'll carry on after I have had a little sleep.

Wow!
Smart progress, but I have to ask...why the timing?

Back at the bench suitably refreshed after a nap and the Middle Stone has dried nicely, I would normally wish to spray the first two colours over a sprayed grey primer but to speed things up here I have used the hairy stick straight over the plastic sans primer. I will now pour a coffee and then make a start on the Dark Earth.
Bruce, not with you- timing?

The disruptive camouflage has been applied by brush sparingly loaded with thinned paint, it will need another coat but will also dry very quickly.
Image

The second coat of Dark Earth was applied followed by the unusual blue touching in to the rear port side of the fuselage.
The only parts still to fit are the wheels and the propeller, I was amazed to find that the canopy on my kit did not fit and had some flash on the bottom edge and some trimming was necessary to get the canopy in place, I have not heard of any problems with this.

You're doing a great job there! Are those new Humbrol acrilycs? Are they any good for brushpainting. I have an old batch off these and I'm quite happy with those.

I mainly use Revell Aqua acrylic and I mix them to match the correct colours, I do have some Humbrol acrylics but the only Humbrol paint used here is the black.

I mean, why start at midnight, when most of us are piling up the Z's?

I don't really know other than that it is the true start of the day and seems to be a good place to start and if the buiild has to stop to allow glue to dry then it can do so overnight.
