The Story

As the story goes while he was in flight school he gets into an argument with an instructor/ officer. A scuffle ensues and the officer falls and breaks his neck (DEAD).

Image

Johnny is court marshaled and kicked out of the service. He then joins the Merchant Marines and while in a convoy heading for Murmansk the convoy is attacked by Stuka Dive bombers. The pilot of the on board Sea hurricane is killed by one of the Stuka's bombs so Johnny steps in.

After the battle he heads for the Russian coast and finds himself among the Falcons, fighter squadron cut off from all supplies and thought to be dead.

Image

Later tonight I'll post the process of creating the decals for this build. Mean while Johnny's hanging out drinking some joe waiting for his create to be built. As you can imagin he's not someone you want to keep waiting.

Thanks for looking

Johnny Redburn. Now if that is not motivation, I don't know what is. That is not Earl Grey he is drinking either.

Nice simple paint job. How are you going to get the skulls though?

Good stuff! Are you going for the Crimson Pirate look, or something more subdued?

I like the Johnny Red pic. Sweet. I imagine that with a Nagant in the holster near him he has the motivational force to get things going. As G/B leader I won't be quite THAT persuasive  .
Seriously though I can't wait to see this one done.

All the best.

Thanks Greg. I'm looking forward to it myself. I just hope it all works out. A lot of planning and effort went into this. The last thing I want to do is fall flat on my face the first time out of the gate.
